SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A popular Spanish tapas spot has officially opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square, serving up paella, sangria and gin & tonics right in the middle of one of the Valley’s busiest malls.
Telefèric Barcelona, a family-owned concept that started in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain, is now open in a 6,676-square-foot space at 7014 E. Camelback Road. It’s the brand’s first Arizona location, joining its restaurants in California and Seattle.
The menu leans into coastal Spanish flavors with a California twist.
Diners will find shareable tapas like patatas bravas and croquettes, Pulpo Telefèric (Galician grilled octopus with pimentón potato purée) and gambas al ajillo, shrimp cooked in garlic. Paella is a big focus too, with options like Lobster Paella and squid-ink Paella Negra. There’s also a weekend brunch with special paellas and sangria pitchers for groups.
Behind the bar, Telefèric pours a lineup of Spanish wines, sangrias and a signature gin and tonic menu, featuring drinks like the Ibiza and the Catalan, plus wine served from a traditional Spanish porrón.
Telefèric Barcelona is now open at Scottsdale Fashion Square!
