North Jersey is home to SO many lovely eateries (too many to name, truly), and another is set to join the list. Rozana, a new Indian restaurant at 323 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell, is bringing some unique flavors to the city with a twist – it features handcrafted Indian pizzas. It’s the first restaurant in New Jersey with this concept, and our team had a chance to try it out (spoiler alert: totally worth it). Keep reading to learn about Rozana, Caldwell’s newest restaurant.

About Rozana
Rozana is a recently opened Indian restaurant in Caldwell, with a fresh concept of making handcrafted sourdough pizzas mixed with authentic Indian flavors. It is the sister restaurant to Urban Tandoor (another MG favorite), and brings a similar level of flavor and creativity to the table. The concept for Rozana started back in 2020, when the owner began feeding a sourdough starter (which they still use today!) to make pizzas with Indian flavors.
“A lot of Indian restaurants that make Pizza just use naan as the base for their pizzas. We wanted to take a different approach,” the Rozana team shared with MG. “We spent years developing a true artisan sourdough dough using traditional pizza-making techniques, then paired it with authentic Indian flavors.”
Rozana intentionally keeps its menu small to place a focus on mastering each dish, and only uses locally sourced ingredients from Tri-State Area farmers. It has a seasonally rotating menu rooted in traditional Indian recipes from across India, such as Punjab, Kerala, and Mumbai. And much like Urban Tandoor, it has table-side experiences (which make the night out even more fun).
Rozana is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10AM to 10PM. To learn more, be sure to visit its website here.
