Yes, Chick-Fil-A Makes Chips Now

It’s always a good time when we get to see some of our all-time favorite restaurant or fast food items be integrated into more of our practical everyday routines through grocery store launches. Well, this is one of such times. And this go-around it’s Chick-fil-A coming in with a launch. We already have their sauces in grocery stores, but this time it is a grocery store version of one of their most iconic items hitting shelves: the waffle fry.

Here at Sporked we have a special affinity for the Chick-fil-A waffle fries. Not only are they uniquely potato forward in a way that you don’t really get with many fast food french fries, but their crispy, pillowy texture and impeccable seasoning have made these one of our favorites. I mean, seriously, in our ranking of every single fast food french fry we could get our hands on these came out in first place.

All this to say, making a more accessible version of such a beloved item from the Chick-fil-A menu is something we’re very excited to hear. Chick-fil-A’ doing this through the launch of their waffle potato chips. And while that might not sound like an entirely new concept because they have been known to give out small packets of their waffle potato chips for catering events, these are a bit of a different approach. Not only are they available in a bigger size, but their choice to release these in grocery stores and in two flavors made this an extra interesting launch.

All The Crispy Details

We have to admit, we weren’t really expecting this to be the next grocery store item to be coming out of Chick-fil-A. Logically it would’ve made a lot more sense to have released a frozen food collection, in our opinion. I mean, imagine being able to go to your local grocery store and pick up a bag of frozen waffle fries, chicken nuggets, or chicken filets in that same great flavor that we’ve all come to love from Chick-fil-A. Sounds like a pretty good deal to be able to have those on demand and ready to air fry.

But, we’ll put our woes aside in accordance with this launch because we’re still quite excited. Not only are the standard waffle potato chips that Chick-fil-A gives out in the individual size for catering delicious in their own right, but this new lunch is spicing it up and releasing two flavors instead of just the one. The “Original” flavor will be salted to perfection like the typical Chick-fil-A chips and fries, but they’re very interestingly releasing these chips in a Chick-fil-A Sauce flavor too. Each bag will come in around five dollars, and they are being sold in blank ounce bags, perfect for sharing.

We’re inevitably left with some questions regarding this new product though. Will the be just like the chips used for catering? And, what will a Chick-fil-A sauce chip even taste like? We’re curious people, especially when it comes to food, so we’ll have to try these out for ourselves since they just hit grocery store shelves. Stay tuned here for our official thoughts.
