A beloved pizza concept has left the Short North neighborhood—Pie of the Tiger served their last pies over the weekend. The concept was located inside Short North Tavern, they confirmed the change via social media.

The post said, “Tonight is our last night at Short North Tavern. It’s been a wild ride and we are forever grateful for our time there. Get your fix tonight. We’re open 5 to 10 or until we run out of dough.” They later posted, “That’s a wrap for now Columbus. We’re outta dough. We still have wings and fries if you’re coming down to Short North Tavern to watch the game!” When asked if they are moving, the restaurant responded via comments. They said, “We don’t have immediate plans but we are looking.”
Pie of the Tiger was located within Short North Tavern at 674 N. High St., they moved into the space in 2021. The concept is known for their thick cut crust and menu that blends Detroit-style and Sicilian-style pies with the sauce served on top. They originally started as a pop-up for March Madness in 2021, and grew into a permanent installation in the back of Short North Tavern.
