ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The suspect vehicle in connection to a shooting May 17 in a restaurant parking lot was located abandoned, according to the Roanoke Police Department.
Police did not give specifics about where the vehicle was found; they also have not identified the shooter.
The agency is urging those with information in regard to the incident to contact (540) 344-8500.
Roanoke Police have released a photo of the vehicle they believe to have been involved in a shooting Sunday, May 17 that left a man injured .
Police say they responded to a report of a shooting in a restaurant parking lot on the 2600 block of Peters Creek Road NW, where a man was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The preliminary investigation determined a fight erupted in the lot between several men immediately before the shooting occurred, according to police.
A suspect vehicle has been identified as a black 2013 Kia Soul with red striping and Virginia plate SYE-3392.
