Valley Fair: The 4 new restaurants and when they’ll open at Santa Clara mall

Westfield Valley Fair’s restaurant repertoire is changing yet again.

Management at the Santa Clara/San Jose mall has announced that the following four businesses are on the horizon:

Chubby Tan: This specialty restaurant is bringing its recipes for the most famous dish of Sendai, Japan — beef tongue — to the United States. Known as Gyutan-yaki, this cuisine features thick-cut beef tongue steak grilled over binchotan charcoal.

Chagee Modern Teahouse: After opening half a dozen shops in Southern California, this Chinese tea concept is ready to tackle NorCal. Valley Fair will be the first Bay Area location for the tea lattes, matcha drinks and whole-leaf teas.

Izumi Revolving Sushi: This restaurant is already sending sushi dishes down the conveyor belt at Westfield Oakridge mall in South San Jose, and is expected to open at Valley Fair before year’s end.

Kajiken: Brothless Japanese noodles will join the array of noodle houses at the mall sometime in early 2027. This chain boasts locations in New York City, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago and Minneapolis.
