Vicky Bakery is expanding its South Florida footprint with a new location planned for 1154 N. Federal Highway in Pompano Beach, according to information from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the bakeryās official website.
The upcoming Pompano Beach location is currently listed by Vicky Bakery as āBaking Soon.ā An opening date has not yet been announced.
Founded in 1972 by Antonio and Gelasia Cao, Vicky Bakery began after the couple, who had worked at a renowned bakery in Cuba, moved to Miami and opened their own bakery. The family business has since expanded to 25 locations across Florida, according to the company.
The bakery is known for its traditional Cuban pastries and baked goods, including pastelitos, croquetas, empanadas, cakes and Cuban coffee. Its menu also includes sandwiches and other savory offerings. Vicky Bakery says its signature pastries continue to be made using recipes passed down through the Cao family.
The company has continued expanding through a combination of its family-owned operations and franchising. Vicky Bakery has a dedicated franchising program for entrepreneurs interested in bringing the brand to additional communities.
The new Pompano Beach bakery will add another Broward County location for the brand, which already operates nearby in communities including Plantation, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.
