Industry Kitchen Is Celebrating National Pizza Month
October is National Self-Promotion Month, National Learning and Development Month, National Fire Prevention Month, Italian American Heritage Month, National Dental Hygiene Month, National Sarcasm Awareness Month, and National Pizza Month. To celebrate the latter, Industry Kitchen’s chef, Jonathan Haffmans has concocted a luxury pizza for the ages.
Meet Royal Crust, topped with Maine Lobster, Caviar, and 24k Gold Flakes (along with the usual tomato and mozzarella toppings). We’re not going to bully you into going—after all, October is all National Bullying Prevention Month, too. The cost is $75 and is only available for the month of October. And we’re not being sarcastic. Or are we?

One of the most difficult reservations to nab this autumn will be Eleven Madison Park chef Daniel Humm’s new eponymous eatery in the West Village. Reservations for Humm, located in the longtime space occupied by En Japanese Brasserie, went live last week. Within minutes every seat in the house was reserved, the Eras tour of New York restaurants. If you want to see if you can win the dining lottery, head on over to Resy. The opening night is October 10.
The Goto Bartender’s Guide
Goto, the acclaimed Japanese-ish cocktail bar with outlets on the Lower East Side and in Park Slope, has just published a recipe book for making many of its memorable cocktails. Owner/bartender, Kenta Goto, along with veteran cocktail writer, Noah Rothbaum, has penned The Goto Bartender’s Guide, a book with recipes for over 100 classic and experimental cocktails, plus lots of drink-making tips.

The most exciting thing about George Motz’s Hamburger America is not just the great burgers he grills up, but that every month, he brings in a unique regional burger from around North America. For October the burger of the month is the Original Triple Cheezborger from the Billy Boat Tavern in Chicago.
Estiatiorio Milos’s Quick and Affordable Business Lunch
The Greek restaurant Estiatorio Milos wants more businessmen to eat lunch at the Midtown and Hudson Yards restaurants. That’s why they’re recently instituted a new lunch service. The experience should take under 60 minutes. If not, the meal is free. The three-course, Mediterranean-inspired midday meal costs $49 and is offered Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Gramercy restaurant, Fortuna, has just kicked off its martini flights: the Savory Martini Flight. Take a seat, pick gin or vodka as your base, then begin to work through your three martinis: one is briney, one is lemony, and one is dirty. Add $5 for a side of fries. The full flight (minus the fries) is $2o.
Hispanic Heritage Month at Palermo Argentinian Bistro
Besides being National Emotional Intelligence Month, National Stamp Collecting Month, and National Liver Awareness Month (you are aware of the liver, right?), October is also Hispanic Heritage Month. And SoHo’s Palermo Argentinian Bistro is pulling out all the stops.
And by that we mean, it’s starting a new lunch service this month. Wednesday to Friday, from noon to 5 p.m. (with brunch weekends), you can indulge in Huevos Rotos with Steak Bites, a Milanese Sandwich, or a Tortilla de Papas. This is the way to enhancing your emotional intelligence.

Coffee Project New York’s New Autumn Beverages
You probably didn’t wake up today and think: I would love it if someone invented a drink called a Candy Apple Spritz. Whatever the case, head over to one of the many locations of Coffee Project New York to try the brand-new concoction of light soda with not-so-subtle hints of autumnal flavors like sweet apple and cinnamon. You can even add espresso or matcha to it. The company has also added a Pistachio Luxe Mocha, a libation that blends chocolate grenache, pistachio paste, espresso and shredded kataifi (a phyllo dessert dough).

Three-year-old East Village pizzeria, Potenza Centrale, has served its last slice. Over in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, chef Akhtar Nawab’s Wayward Fare has permanently gone wayward into the good night.
