Barriers were temporarily put in place, but Evansville Firefighters have now removed them.
Volunteers say they had to shut the booth down completely, so they’re donating their remaining food and materials to the EPD, Nut Club and Evansville Rescue Mission booths.
“Everybody was okay, everybody was safe. So that was the best thing. And yeah, we’ll we’ll get it working for next year,” said Ross Geiser, Evansville Young Life College Director. “We feel very supported, very loved, and we’re ready to be back here next year and sell some more
Geiser says people even stopped by after the fire to give money to help cover the cost of fixing their broiler.
Young Life says they raised about $80,000 this week at Fall Fest.
