A Bellefonte area restaurant is closing after nine years, but its owner suggested it’s not the end of the line for the business.
Four Ways Pub & Eatery‘s last day for dining at 685 Pleasantview Boulevard is Sunday, Oct. 11, and the last day for beer takeout will be Tuesday, Oct. 13, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Owner Augusta Kraker wrote that Four Ways needs a new location to achieve her vision for the restaurant, and said the announcement is “exciting” but “also brings a touch of sadness.”
“…[A]s many of you know I’ve been wanting to expand and remodel this location for some time,” Kraker wrote. “I have a wonderful landlord but unfortunately he isn’t ready to sell the property at this time, and for what I want to build I need a new location.”
Four Ways opened in 2017 in the location between Bellefonte and Milesburg that had previously been home to Red Rooster on the Go. It has been known for flavorful, scratch-made American cuisine, with popular items including wings, a variety of smash burgers and sandwiches such as fried chicken, Cajun beef, Korean pulled pork and Cuban, as well as seasonal menus and a wide selection of beer.
Gift card holders should stop in while the restaurant is still open or email fourwayspubeatery@gmail.com, according to the post.
Updates on Four Ways’ future will be shared via the restaurant’s Facebook page, email and other channels.
“I’m very grateful to all of my wonderful customers that have become my great friends and family over these years,” Kraker wrote. “I wish success to whatever the next iteration of business that will be here at 685 Pleasant View Boulevard.”
