Habit Burger & Grill has introduced three burger options made for dipping to showcase the chain’s sauces. The Dipping Trio Box are part of the new $10 Gotta Habit Meal Deals. Each burger is cut in half and served in the brand’s signature CharBox for one with dipping sauce in the center.
The three options include:
BBQ Dipping Trio Box: Two dippable burger halves with melted American cheese, pickles, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and crispy onion tanglers.
Ranch Dipping Trio Box: Two dippable burger halves with melted American cheese, pickles, chunky avocado, and housemade ranch.
Spicy Dipping Trio Box: Two dippable burger halves with melted white American cheese, pickles, pickled jalapeños, and a creamy spicy mayo.
In addition to a dipping sauce, each Dipping Trio Box also comes with five crispy chicken bites, the choice of French fries, tempura greens or sweet potato fries, and a regular drink.
“People dip their fries. They dip their chicken. So, we thought, why should the burger miss out?” Executive Chef Jason Triail said in a statement.
The Gotta Habit Dipping Trio Box is available for a limited time at participating locations and is part of the chain’s evolving value strategy. Habit launched its Gotta Habit Meal Deals last summer, featuring three combos priced at $6, $8, and $10. By October, the fast-casual burger chain extended the offerings due to high demand.
That limited-time run has since ended, but the company added a $9 Gotta Habit Box Deal to the menu in August.
This launch comes as consumers clamor for sauce innovations for drizzling, dunking, or dipping. Technomic’s Flavor Consumer Trend Report finds that 34% of consumers consider what sauces and condiments are available when deciding which restaurants to visit.
That said, Habit isn’t the first chain to experiment with burgers to meet the dipping demand. There have long been French Dip Burgers on menus, for example. In January, Applebee’s introduced an O-M-Cheese Burger — a burger served over queso sauce mixed with melted cheese in a Sizzlin’ Skillet for $11.99. The burger became Applebee’s highest-selling burger ever. In April, Applebee’s extended the concept to its O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger, a quesadilla burger served in molten cheddar and white queso.
