Bojangles is gearing up to open its fourth outpost in New Jersey.
Located at 276 Route 35 in Neptune, the popular chicken and biscuits chain is set to begin welcoming customers Nov. 5. According to Bojangles, the doors will open at 6 a.m.
Founded in 1977, the North Carolina-based brand is known for its Cajun-seasoned fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, sandwiches, salads, sides and desserts.
Until recently, the chain’s footprint of nearly 900 nationwide locations did not include New Jersey. A previous Bojangles outpost in Newark closed years ago, according to NJ.com.
Now, as part of an East Coast expansion effort launched last year, Bojangles plans to add 35 locations across the state.
Through a 10-unit development deal with ADS Restaurant Group, Bojangles opened a Piscataway site in April 2025, a Vineland unit in March 2026 and a Marlboro restaurant in July 2026.

Neptune will mark the group’s third Bojangles. The restaurant is taking a 2,895-square-foot space at Market Place at Neptune, leasing plans say.
The property formerly housed a Coca-Cola bottler’s warehouse. It has since been transformed into a shopping center that includes tenants such as Aldi, QuickChek and Paris Baguette.
More to come
A spokesperson for ADS Restaurant Group told NJBIZ the group plans to open additional locations in 2027. However, they declined to provide details. “All are still in the leasing phase and none have moved to development, which means they are still subject to change,” the spokesperson said.
As part of the Nov. 5 grand-opening celebration in Neptune, Bojangles will hold a 2 p.m. “biscuit-cutting” ceremony with local officials and brand representatives.
Additionally, the event will feature a preview lunch from noon to 3 p.m. welcoming area police officers, firefighters, EMTs and medics. There will also be special giveaways, such as gift cards and a year’s worth of free breakfast, to the first 50 guests, the chain said.
