More power to you. I was gifted a bottle of Dickel Tabasco whiskey a few years ago and it took ages to finish. I was a pretty gnarly alcoholic at the time, and even then, it was pretty rough stuff.

That seems like a horrible idea for your stomach

It’s atrocious, ruined everything we added it to and it’s awful by itself.

So, when I turned 21 in 2009, I was at Michigan State University and there was a tradition where on your 21st birthday, you didn’t pay for a single drink, BUT, there was a known list of horrific drinks your friends would buy for you. It was a right of passage sort of thing.
One of them was a Prairie Fire (half well tequila, half Tobasco. Also ‘Horse Piss’ (shot of well tequila put in the microwave for 8 seconds). The ‘Smoker’s Cough’ (warm Jäegermeister with the shot glass rimmed with mayonnaise. And the ‘Jersey Turnpike’ (well vodka, and the bartender would squeeze the bar rag into the glass to top it off).
Yes, we were very dumb people with apparently incredible immune systems. But throwing up spicy liquor is the number one thing I remember. I made it 36 minutes. They let me in at midnight, and I was kicked out for throwing up in the toilet at 12:36.
I love spicy food, always have. But I will not have spicy liquor again. Even in Bloody Marys, my body getting close to 40 years old is just not ok with that anymore, haha.
I included all those terrible shots so you all can feel better about your lives that you’ve never done them before. It was a specific time and place in my life that I don’t regret, but will never ever do again unless I just want to end it all in the worst possible way, haha (jokes, I’m very happy and doing fine).

I have been drinking this straight for a few months now. I don’t know what’s wrong me. Definitely doesn’t taste good, but I think I enjoy the burn. Or it just gets me buzzed too quick to care.
