You don’t have to be one of the Costco guys to appreciate the new menu items that have arrived at the Michigan Costco locations.
This year alone, Costco has released 8 New Food Court items, including a mixed berry smoothie, a strawberry shortcake sundae, chicken strips, twisted churro, double chocolate mint sundae, a caramel churro sundae, as well as a vanilla cookie crunch sundae.

They definitely seem to be pandering to people who get a sweet tooth while shopping around the store. Of course, the food court is known for the classic $1.50 hot dog & pop combination, but it’s the newest treat that they released in October for only $2.99 that has people losing it.
They’ve introduced the apple pie sundae that combines their vanilla soft serve with cinnamon apples and pie crust that some people compared to an apple pie à la mode flavor.
Many people on Reddit are giving their opinions, with some people being surprisingly positive about the new item:

I think it’s slightly less sweet than the other regular sundaes. The crunch from the pie crust adds a nice mouthfeel and the apple compote is definitely higher quality than I expected.
Other people have been a little bit more skeptical, but still enjoyed it:
Strawberry shortcake and cookie crumble, I think, are both better. If this had a soft crust, I’d agree, but that’s the only downfall here lol. Super yummy tho.
A lot of these new menu items are seasonal only, so the apple pie Sunday I can’t imagine we last past fall.
There were even people suggesting that they should try a pumpkin pie version, but we will have to wait until next year to see if they go a different route. Until then, all Michigan locations will be carrying the newly added flavor before hopefully introducing a Christmas menu item.
New Additions Arrive to Costco Food Courts
While one is seasonal and the other is labeled as ‘Limited Time’, fans of the infamous Costco Food Court have opinions on the new stuff!
