MANCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) – Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza in Manchester received an 8.1 out of 10 from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy during his One Bite Pizza Reviews. Portnoy calls Connecticut the best state in the world for pizza.
The restaurant recently received the rating, and staff say business has increased since.
General manager Staci Serrao said the review has brought in new customers and returning ones.
“It’s a huge business increase, and it’s great because it’s not just a business increase of, like, ‘Hey, I’ve never been to Wooster Street,’” Serrao said. “It’s also a business increase of people that haven’t been here in so long.”
Serrao said the restaurant moved locations, and some people may have thought it closed.
“We did move locations, so some people might have thought we closed, but we’ve been open the whole time,” Serrao said. “So we’re kind of reintroducing ourselves for that.”
Portnoy travels across the country rating pizzerias on a scale of 1 to 10 in his One Bite reviews.
Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza serves New Haven-style apizza in Manchester. The restaurant makes thin-crust pies with a charred finish.
The restaurant has a Hot Wheels-themed atmosphere. The menu includes specialty pizzas and classic favorites.
The restaurant has built a following in the Manchester community.
