WESLEY CHAPEL – Publix has opened a new store at Village Commons in Wesley Chapel.
The 50,325-square-foot store anchors the shopping center’s third and final phase, adding about 110,000 square feet of retail, dining and service space. Once complete, the center will span more than 393,000 square feet.
“When we opened the first phase of Village Commons in 2004, we planned for the center to expand as Wesley Chapel grew,” said George Dewey, president and CEO of Aston. “Wesley Chapel has grown considerably since then, and welcoming Publix as the anchor of the final phase is a milestone for Aston and Branch Properties in keeping pace with that growth. This phase builds on the strength of the existing center and gives residents more options for groceries, shopping and health care close to home.”
Novant Health, Heartland Dental and WestLake Ace Hardware are already open in Phase III.
Other signed tenants include Ay Caramba Cava and Grill, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Mattress Firm, TCBY and Venice Nail Spa.
Retailers in the first two phases include Chick-fil-A, CVS, Harris Teeter, PetSmart, Rack Room Shoes and Target.
