Spicy food causes pleasant ‘heartburn’ (and, uh, neckburn)?

I don’t know how to describe this feeling I often get after eating spicy food. Does anyone else experience it or have any insight?

* A pleasant burning in my chest/lower throat (like embers, not fire), or
* A sharp pang of heat on the back of my neck.
* It often makes me crave more spicy food, or spicier food.
* It happens more often in hot weather.
* I sometimes get the neck feeling from strong liquor (50%+, usually with a strong flavor) .

Other random details:

Pleasant heartburn might not be a great description, because I’ve only had heartburn maybe twice and don’t really know what it feels like

The craving might be because it’s a good feeling, or it might just be association–that it makes me remember the last delicious spicy thing I ate.

The chest feeling I first noticed during a hot, humid summer when I was 24~25 (and it drove me to eat mabo tofu 5 times in one week). The neck feeling is much less common, but I first noticed it at ~19, when I was drinking, of all things, [99 Bananas](https://99brandparty.com/products/?id=118), but I recently got it from some spicy laziji chicken.
