Sweet Chilli Sauce ( Detailed Recipe Below )
Sweet chilli sauce is a delicious sweet and spicy dipping sauce. This homemade version is easy to make, quick and way cheaper than the store-bought sauce, and that too without any preservatives and additives.
I Added lemongrass root to this sauce which inhenced its flavour even more.
This sauce can be paired with a variety of Asian snacks like spring rolls, wontons and more.
Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Servings: Makes 1 Cup
🔸Ingredients 🔸
🔸Water ( Paani ) – 1 Cup
🔸Sugar ( Chini ) – 1/2 Cup
🔸Garlic finely chopped ( Lahsun barik kata ) – 5 to 6 medium-size cloves ( kaliyan)
🔸 Lemongrass Root – 1 Tsp
🔸Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder / Cayenne pepper powder – 1 Tsp
🔸Red Chilli Flakes – 2 Tsp
🔸Soy Sauce – 1/2 Tsp
🔸White Vinegar ( Sirka ) – 1/4 Cup
🔸Salt to Taste ( Namak )
🔸For Cornflour Slurry 🔸
🔸Cornflour / Cornstarch – 1 Tbsp
🔸Water – 2 Tbsp
🔸Method 🔸
🔸To make cornflour slurry, add cornflour and water in a bowl and mix it.
🔸Add all the ingredients except cornflour slurry in a pan.
🔸Boil it on medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes.
🔸Add the cornflour slurry and stir it well.
🔸Boil it for 1 to 2 minutes or until it gets thick slightly.
🔸Cool it down at room temperature.
🔸Fill it in a glass jar and store in the refrigerator or serve with your favourite snack.
