Gringo submission from the UK. Today’s lunch: crab tostadas. Brown and white crab meat with lettuce, cucumber, homemade tomatillo salsa, radish slices and avocado (little extra dash of El Yucateo red habanero hot sauce not shown) on crispy baked corn tortillas from Guanajuato, Mexico.

Tostadas de jaiba (that is how they call them in Tampico). They look great and legitimate.

…..Oh, and a sprinkling of chopped cilantro.

In Mexico, gringo doesn’t mean white person. It means american person, so there are black gringos too.

Saying this because if you visit Mexico, mantion that you are English and things will be nicer to you.

Seems legit, even the tostadas. I’m from Guanajuato and i have eaten those almost all my life.

Looks great, I’d munch down a whole plate.

Just a FYI, once a tortilla is baked/fried until hard its called a tostada

Fringes come from the states not the uk. Otherwise these tostadas look amazing! I’d switch the lettuce for cabbage, but that’s my personal preference.

I’m Mexican and I’d eat them

Great! I would feel at home (Mexico) if I was eating there!

They look delicious. I personally love radishes with seafood/fishy tostadas.

I’m glad to see someone in the UK correctly identifying a tostada. I’ve had a couple of Brit guys I met through work very confused about totopos/tortilla chips not being nachos.

I was confused at the title, but now that i read comments i realize that you are not an American living in the UK, that being said your dish is missing some mayonaisse, here in Sonora we use mayo a lot in seafood.
