Inspired by [this salsa](https://www.reddit.com/r/SalsaSnobs/comments/13o4j8y/habanero_chile_de_%C3%A1rbol_orange_salsa/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1) but I substituted the orange for a star grapefruit.

    *ingredients:*

    – 1/2 star grapefruit
    – 1/2 red onion
    – 3 scotch bonnet

    I broiled these 3 ingredients.

    – 12 toasted Chile de Árbol
    – 3 garlic cloves
    – 2 bay leaves
    – 1/2 tsp knorr chicken bouillon
    – 1/4 tsp msg
    – 2 cups boiling water

I soaked all these in the water for about an hour.

    *Time to blend:*

    I blended the:

    – the broiled peppers, onion and grapefruit. For the grapefruit I took out all the inner parts with a fork
    – the soaked peppers and garlic
    – 1/4 cup of cilantro
    – 1 cup of the water used to soak
    – juice of the other half of the grapefruit
    – juice of 1 lime
    – salt, white pepper, ground oregano and cumin to taste

Woah! Did the grapefruit make it slightly tart or sweet?
