    1 lb tomatillos

    1/3rd white onion

25-40 dried chile de arbol (i just used up the rest of my bag)

    3 cloves garlic

    2 jalapeno (sliced in halves)

    1 peeled tomato from can

    salt, chicken bouillon, lime juice

i toast everything in some oil on medium heat, maybe like 8ish mins. add chile de arbol 2 minutes before ending and stir constantly. add already boiled water to pot, turn heat off, cover for 15 mins. blend garlic, onion, chiles, and jalapenos. add a little bit of water (from pot u soaked ingredients in) to thin out and blend until desired consistentcy. can keep adding water as needed until satisfied. add tomatillos and tomato then blend. add salt, chicken bouillon, lime juice to taste.

honestly wish i had used adobo seasoning instead of bouillon but forgot i had it. pretty spicy but good flavor

Chile de Arbol is one of my absolute favorite chilis. Such a smoky taste with a good amount of kick.

I bet this salsa was delicious.

I wonder if the Chile de Arbol is similar to the African Birds Eye chili featured in many piri piri recipes? colour seems right
