Why is this thing always such a buggy piece of garbage?


Rewards screen continuously fails to work. It begins with a blank screen, gives an error message, then goes to the select rewards screen but… It just doesn’t work. I can select everything visible, but when I scroll away it’s deselected. I have EIGHT REWARDS sitting here that I cannot use because of this bug. It’s been like this for a month now.

    Been having issues with this as well. I either have to clear data in the app or reinstall. To clear data go to phone settings>app>taco bell>storage then clear data.

    It takes like ten seconds sometimes but it will come up. Wiggle your screen up and down if you get impatient

    1)Reach out to support for help and they should be able to resolve it.
    2) Sometimes the employees will just give you the deal your trying to redeem if the app is having issues but if you get angry or upset they are less likely to help you out.

    I’ve had the issue as well.

    I haven’t been able to use a reward for weeks. I get an error screen, then the select a reward screen….but when I select one it won’t let me add it to the cart

    Our team is aware of some issues with Rewards page for our Android users, which will be resolved in our upcoming release. If you have any Hot/Fire Rewards expire during that time, please reach out to [Rewards@tacobell.com](mailto:Rewards@tacobell.com) and they’ll replace those once the new update is released.

    You think the TB app is bad, have you tried ordering off the Arby’s app? It’s damn near impossible. Error after error message. It’s frustrating because they actually have great deals.

    Hopping off of my work’s wifi and placing the order over cellular data fixed the issue.

    I only ran into this issue today. I figured it was some sneaky corporate way of not allowing people to cash in on a reward AND get the free taco tuesday. who knows

    Taco bell has the worst app of any company their size. Its actually comical how many problems they have with it. And it’s not like it’s just one issues. There are multiple issues and glitches at least once a week where I use it and end up not being able to

    last week i kept trying to place a mobile order but it refused to let me use my rewards or process my payment. i gave up and ordered at the drive thru and only after i got my food did i get an email “thanks for placing a mobile order!” thankfully the taco bell app actually lets you cancel orders unlike the mcdonald’s app

    Never had it bug. Always runs smooth. Maybe it’s your phone or connection.

    I just recently made a post about this as well (( which was downvoted completely even tho it was a obv app issue but this is upvoted????? )) where the app had a full meltdown to the point I had to completely sign out in order to fix it. But no its not your phone or connection like others weirdly user blame, the app is just shit sometimes. Rewards is definitely one of the parts that can be an issue I’ve had them never load or fail to apply etc. I’ve also had the fun experience of apparently I closed my phone while the order was going through and got to the location and it apparently double ordered????? So had to cancel that and deal with trying to get my $ back that was cool.

    I have 17,654 points, usually order once a week from the app and I’ve never had a single problem ever.

    Pretty sure I’m gonna lose my 3rd straight reward because of this BS. Contacted TB support multiple times with no response. Signed out and reinstalled the app which didn’t fix anything.

    This looks like an Android specific problem since most, if not all of these posts have been about the Android versions of the app. Probably because android has so many hardware and software variations.

    It’s kinda sad that Taco Bell can’t be bothered to hire developers who can properly develop an app.

    I had this problem too, but i found a work around. Choose a different taco bell location, then try redeeming your reward. For some reason, that worked for me, and then after i add everything to my cart, i then change back to my desired location. Boom, works.

    Yes, i tried logging out and back in. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. What i described above is the only thing that has worked.

    It works, it’s just slow to load. I always have to wait for it to load. Sucks
