honestly would still prefer the bag. Sometimes they dont close it correctly and holding it from the side and receiving it from the drive thru can get sus. almost lost a taco from it slipping out. but it is pretty neat and noticeable when i do get a box though

They’re supposed to put it in a box, but alot of the time an employee is rushing and throws it in a bag. Also new employees may not know they need to put it in a box.

We usually only start putting them in bags when we get busy or have big orders. Most of the time, they’re in boxes. And I don’t think I’ve ever personally gotten a cravings box in a bag.

My TB is hit and miss. Sometimes it’s a box, sometimes it’s just all thrown in a bag, and having briefly worked there, I understand why. It’s very easy to be on autopilot and just put everything, cravings box order or not, in a bag. Having to unfold the box and strategically pack items in there takes more effort and brain power than a minimum wage worker should ever feel compelled to expend. On one of my first days, I was running expo (which means I mostly packaged the food) and was putting box orders in bags. As luck would have it, the regional manager was in the drive-thru and ordered a box. After receiving it in a bag, he parked and came in the store very irate at my supervisor and manager. He then asked why we were giving out cravings boxes in bags if we weren’t out of boxes. The supervisor told him that I was new and probably didn’t know I had to use boxes, to which the RM responded by asking why a new person was running expo. He then proceeded to do a bit of an impromptu and informal inspection. We got yelled at for a few other minor things (except for the food quality, thankfully). The whole encounter rubbed me the wrong way and, while much larger factors were at play, it was definitely a small catalyst in me quitting later.

They use to a few years ago maybe. Nowadays my order is just thrown in one big bag. I’m normally ordering for 4+ people so I wish they separated it out more. I have to dig through and see what’s missing that I need to go ask for.

Yeah that’s the whole point of it is they shoved all that food in the box, becomes tedious for the silverware and hot sauce though because they just toss it on top instead of a sack full of goodies.
