Store bought sauces review

I’ve been wanting to make some good quesadillas that remind me of Taco Bell. The chipotle one is good. Does it taste exactly the same? No. Good enough? Yes, but I think only in certain scenarios. I drizzle this inside my quesadilla before cooking, it’s great. Just drizzling in a taco? I probably wouldn’t like it. But heated up, it’s great.

The spicy ranchero; idk what this is. It’s thick and ok, but not great.

Zest ranch sauce: yum. This is closest to Taco Bell spicy ranch of the two, but it’s not a copy. It’s thinner than the ranchero sauce and has more flavor. This I could use to drizzle on tacos or dip in. I also put a bit inside the quesadilla.

So the zesty ranch comes out on top, for me. With chipotle being second. Ranchero 3rd. I once tried Baja. That was so bad I trashed it.

For anyone curious about the inside of the beast:

Chipotle sauce, spicy ranch, sliced jalapeños out the jar, green onions, pre cooked grilled chicken pieces, sharp cheddar, quesadilla cheese (there is a pre shredded bag of this white cheese where I shop).

Each slice gets one full packet of Taco Bell hot sauce from actual Taco Bell. This is very filling. I throw a little extra virgin olive oil in a pan and throw that baby in. I used an extra large tortilla. Cheaper than Taco Bell since I can make like 8 of these things when I want.

There are copy cat Recipes available on this sub, but sometimes you want a lazy version that will last in the fridge a while for later dates. I would recommend that zesty ranch, but to each their own.
