


I have an obscene amount of cherry tomatoes right now so I decided to try some out in salsa. I added 5 jalapeños, 1 onion, 3 cloves of garlic, lime juice and salt. The texture is a little strange to me. I am assuming it is because the cherry tomatoes are much higher in pectin but it has a jam like texture. Taste is good though!

you got a nice char on all the veg which usually gives the end product a much smoother consistency and deep red color, which is what you want if you’re making this style of salsa. I’ve personally never used cherry tomatoes nor that high of a tomato ratio relative to the other ingredients but I’m glad to hear you got a good flavor profile at the end. looks delicious, good job!

I’m not a salsa expert, but I would have added a little vinegar to water it down some since cherry tomatoes don’t have much juice and is probably why it turned out kinda jam like
My wife makes this. You don’t even need to add sugar it’s so sweet.
I tried this the other day and the seeds made it inedible for me. Ugh, it tasted so good though.
