Huauzontle help!


Hello, someone gave me a small Huauzontle shoot in early spring and it's now a 4ft high monster. I've never grown or cooked it before (it's being grown in south east UK, semi-shade and not that warm this year).

I used some young leaves blended as a paste (for a pasta dish not Mexican), I understand I can make fritters from the flower buds? They look quite small though so I need to try and let them grow larger? Would welcome any recipe ideas please! Just conscious weather is crap in UK and summer is pretty much over!
