  1. The stem he cut off… Interesting thing guys, a farmer gave me a really big cabbage last week. At home I soaked it in anti-pesticide solution. Cut half the cabbage for my aunt and the other half for me. Wrapped it in clingfilm and placed in my fridge. It is still fresh and alive today.

    The half stem and micro-climate created by the clingfilm has kept it alive for over a week. But the same trick does not work with coriander (cilantro). After soaking and drying, you have to cut off its roots before placing in an air-tight container and refrigerating.
