Scotch bonnet pepper leaves

My leaves are folding down. I water maybe once every 4-5 days. I have a grow tent with a grow light about 12 in above the plant. Recently only some leaves are falling downward. Tried to look up reasons for it but could not find anything.

I think it is only happening when I turn the grow light on…only put it at 100%. But I have 4 SBP growing in the tent at the same time but it is only happening to one plant. Has anyone experienced this or can anyone please give a recommendation to what they think the problem is?

I have attached a picture.

Are leaves going up a few hours after you water them?

Don’t want to upset you but the leaves do not look as a C. chinense to me, more like a C. annuum.

I also grow in a tent and there are a couple of things I’ve noticed with leaves drooping.

First, they tend to do this towards the end of the day just before the light goes out and remain that way during the night. Takes a little while after the light comes back on for the to perk up. If that’s it, it’s nothing to worry about.

Second, reason is if they’re thirsty. You don’t want to over do it with water though, so just slightly increase either the frequency or amount. As the plant grows, you’ll need to adjust your watering periodically until the plant maxes out its pot. Once it does that, you’ll be able to keep a pretty predictable watering schedule.
