Sauce

Anyone else try Chimay? Because you MUST

Not a purchase but rather a gift from my fiancée who recently visited family in her hometown (Villahermosa, México) and brought me back this line of Chimay sauces. Yeah yeah, some of you will cite the Trappist beer brand of the same name, no cerveza in these bottles I’m afraid. Side note, they’re made in the state of Tabasco— NO relation to the LA based hot vinegar crap.

Anyway, they taste incredible, all habanero based with natural ingredients. They go from hottest to mildest from left to right— this is according to the label but the black one is still generously spicy. I was skeptical of the black one because I tried the black one from El Yucateco and it was too smokey for me but it was fine for cooking as opposed to tossing into cooked food. Chimay black doesn’t taste smokey or burnt at all. So far I’ve tried the yellow and the black and they’re off the chain! Trying to hold out on using them so fast because I might not get another batch for a few more months. Maybe they’re sold on Amazon or something but my fiancée would probably feel slightly cheated on if I bought my own online.
