I originally got this plant as an unidentified potted "thai pepper" from my local grocery store, advertised as being good for small containers. I've grown the seeds out several times and the plant and peppers are identical to the original, so it's not some crazy hybrid. Peppers initially grow upright and develop ribs (see picture of the immature pepper) before their weight pulls them down to hang underneath. They produce short, fat peppers with a dark green coloration and smooth crescent shape similar in appearance to a small jalepeno. Final fruits are around 2 inches long and just under an inch in diameter, with medium-thick walls and densly packed with seeds. Fruits left on the plant will eventually begin to rot before developing a light yellow/orange color. Heat is similar to the hotter end of jalepeno, but the peppers are more acidic/vegetal tasting, no smokiness, and not as fleshy. Any ideas on what it might be?
