So far I've gotten 165 peppers off of this. It's still going strong, a bunch still turning red, and new flowers are popping up. My one issue is that these are wayyyy too hot for me and I don't know what to do with the peppers.
If you like making stew, curry or chili, using half of one or a full one for the only spice you use in the whole pot (and freezing the other half if you use it that way) is a great way to make them hot, but not unmanageable. Generally once they’ve been cooked in something enough, the oils are spread throughout the dish you’re making and eating the pulp won’t be so rough. That said, if you’re really sensitive, I’d start with the half to be sure.
