# chili and rice. This is a fantastic chili recipe that can be modified to your taste. I know the combination of chili and cornbread is good, but its great with some steamed rice. I know you’ll love it.
Ingredients :
1 medium onion (diced)
1 jalapeño (diced fine) leave in seeds for a more spicy chili
1 bell pepper (diced)
3 garlic cloves (minced or pressed)
1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of sweet ground pork (you could also substitute ground turkey)
3 tbsp of dark or light brown sugar
2 tsp of cumin
2 tbsp if chili powder
1 tsp of paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp of tomato paste
1 (14 oz) can of beef stock
2 (14 oz) cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes
steamed short grain rice
optional: 4 slices of chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese,
sour cream and avocado for toppings.
