The “tortilla press” used in the Huevos video.

I have paused and watched and screenshot and googled and I don’t think this is a traditional press. It seems to be a form where the dough is wiped across to form a circle. The tortilla is then removed from the plastic by pulling the plastic down so that the circle is removed. I would love to try this because tortilla presses hate me. Now to figure out the dough!

That kind of tortilla maker is not that common, but it’s not that rare.

Also, the dough is just the same as any other corn tortilla

This type of tortillera that doesn’t require a press can be made in different ways. In the US they are hard to find but [here’s one that ships from Laredo, TX.](https://www.ebay.com/itm/325211825562?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vJ3BGN8ITHS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=6PvhDZpQTDi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)

[Here’s one that is sold in Mexico](https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-1385286673-maquina-tortillera-maquina-para-hacer-tortillas–_JM?skipInApp=true) that looks like something that could be replicated easily.
