1. Break one open – let’s see the masa-meat ratio. The angle of your pic makes these look thin.
2. What meat did you use and how was it cooked?
3. Why did you cover them in salsa? Tamales should be able to stand on their own without.

I recommend going beyond the traditional tamale ingredients. One of my favorites is chicken, mozzarella, and tomato sauce.

The tamal should be with salsa fill already, so you don’t need extra salsa on top, but it does look pretty good
