How common is it for Scotch bonnet to grow upside down?

I planted 10. This is the only one that’s doing this. The other ones hang like a normal pepper versus facing upward like these are.

You have found a genetic mutation of some sort most likely. Look at it like a litter of puppies. They will not all be the same

Peppers do that sometimes. It’s not a problem. I have had many varieties do that, even large varieties like bell peppers. On the large ones, over time the weight of the pepper will bend the stem of the pepper and the pepper will then hang downward. On small varieties they will likely just stay upside down since they are small and light, as you can see on yours: they are ripe yet are still upside down.
