The beef was was too spicy and the queso was bland. I picked off the jalapeños. I much prefer the TB seasoned beef. And their nacho sauce.

Why do we have to fight? Can’t we just love overpriced “mexican” food of all sorts? I love their fish tacos and the big burritos.
I get it with chicken. It’s the same price as a NBG, but about twice as much food. The queso isn’t as good as nacho cheese though.
In the past, when I was in Cali, Del Taco was my go to over Taco Bell, but the last couple years prices have made it a no go. 🙁 I miss there dollar menu. It was awesome!! They need to at least bring back the chicken snack quaesdilla.
I always preferred Taco Bueno anyways. Its more Bueno! But it looks like they may not be around too much longer.

I should say I don’t eat meat so I can’t verify this, but from what I’ve heard DT has good tacos but TB has better everything else.
Maybe the jalapeño juice made it spicy? I love their nacho but the large is just way too much for me these days.
You forgot to mention the best part about del taco. Not only do they sell “Mexican” food but they also sell burgers and fries. Until nacho fries existed it was the only place I could get a burrito and fries for like $5. And it was glorious.
Unfortunately the del taco fries are just basic crinkle fries and not seasoned. But they are still good!

Del taco is way cheaper than taco bell. I’ll take some of their menu items over Taco Bell. Everything tastes the same at Taco Bell . You can buy two crunchy del tacos for the price of one taco hell crunchy taco..
You take the two del tacos . Add any of the taco bell sauces in your drawer on top. It’ll taste like taco bell

Do they still call them Macho Nachos? I miss DT, went to college in the 90s in Atlanta, ate DT damn near every day, then moved back home to St Louis and shortly after they closed DT here. I haven’t been in many moons, sadly.
Taco Bell overall has a better menu but the epic burritos are better at del taco
Del Taco STOMPS Taco Bell. But I do very much enjoy both for what they’ve got. Spicy potato soft tacos and crispy chicken soft tacos have saved me from hunger multiple times.
