*Mini rant incoming* The fact that this simple but popular item isn’t available on the menu is sheer insanity. I’d understand it’s absence if it added some weird expensive mystery ingredient like shredded goat cheese, but that’s clearly not the case. You literally have all ingredients in the back, and you refuse to straight up make this unavailable.
If you want a DD supreme you need to order a double stack taco, minus the nacho cheese, and add sour cream cheese and beans. It’s a long obtuse process that takes too much explaining to a worker that doesn’t want to be there and deal with you. I’ve done this 4 times and literally half the time they screw it up by putting the beans in with the ground beef and giving me a naked soft shell on the outside. I don’t want to have to dictate a manifesto to get a double decker taco.
If you’re worried about menu bloat, just have it available off the menu and let us select it via the self-order stations. Or give us an option to add extra tortilla with beans/other sauces to a taco, hell I’m sure most of us would start buying double decker dorito tacos if you gave us the option! But you didn’t cuz you’re lazy. I don’t know who made this decision but I hope they trip down a flight of steps and break their left ankle.
