Silken Tofu Roasted Red Pepper Sauce — No Cream, No Eggs, No Cottage Cheese #tofu

Creamy sauce without cream, eggs, or cottage cheese — just silken tofu and food science.
Silken tofu is 85-90% water held together by a delicate protein network.
Blend it and it becomes a perfectly smooth gel.
The soy proteins bond with both water and fat, trapping tiny oil droplets in place — giving you thickness, creaminess, and stability from one whole food ingredient.

This roasted red pepper version is smoky, bright, and pairs with almost everything.
But the base works with any flavour you want — just swap the pepper for sun-dried tomatoes, or fresh herbs and spices.

  1. ✨ Here’s my recipe for roasted bell pepper sauce
    Ingredients
    200g / 7oz (homemade) silken tofu, drained
1 small roasted red bell pepper (store-bought or homemade)
30ml / 2tbsp oil (olive, avocado, canola or other)
    15ml / 1 tbsp lime juice
    1 garlic clove (roasted)
    1 tsp smoked paprika spice
    ½ tsp salt
    ¼ tsp black pepper
Pinch of cayenne (optional, for heat)

    Method:
Drain any excess liquid from the silken tofu but don't press it. Add the drained tofu to your blender, then add all other ingredients. Blend on high speed until fully incorporated and the mixture is a deep, vibrant red. No visible bits should remain. Scrape down the sides if needed. Taste and adjust the flavor.

This is a shortened recipe of what is in my new cookbook The TOFU MASTERY GUIDE.

  2. I love this! I’m definitely going to try doing this. I have been needing new meat and dairy free ways to increase protein 🙂
