This jalopeno is roughly 5 months old germinated from seed and now that it's starting to bud I've given up on in. Looking for advice on what to try next.
– I started it in a half gallon pot. It was in that half gallon pot the majority of its life and only transfered to this bag a week ago so everything else will refer to that period.
– Used bog standard low nutrient potting soil and supplemented it with a bit of Dr. Earth 2-2-2. The only notable thing I can think of is it was soaking wet when I bought it and there were more twigs and wood chunks than I'd care for
– Watering schedule was every 2-5 days. I would stick my finger ~1 inch into the soil and when it was dry give it 1/2 liter – 1 liter
– It spent it's life under a 100W vivosun led. I think this was my main problem, I had the lights positioned 4 feet away until very recently.
– A lot of the leaves turned purple but I read this can be normal for certain jalapeños.
Let me know if you have any other questions

Over watered and the light was way too far away. It’s also very hungry. How often did you feed the 2-2-2?
Edit, also, Dr earth 2-2-2 is an organic fertilizer. It’s slow to release and be beneficial to the plant. You really need a water soluble fertilizer to give this plant a boost.
