I see a lot of post asking about scotch bonnets and I am genuinely curious about the fame behind them. Why are they so popular? Can someone shed some light about them. That might be the only kind of pepper I didn’t grow this year.

A very flavorful and spicy pepper. Just popular in general among all hot pepper growers because they’ve been around a long time. This year, you’re seeing them everywhere because tons of people were sold scotch bonnets and they are turning out to be Jamaican mushrooms, a much less spicy pepper and completely different flavor profile.
Them and Habs are my fav for sure. That fruitiness they give off with the heat, there’s nothing like them. I find most other above average heat peppers, are either one or the other so it’s a nice mix
