I Tried Buffalo Wild Wings’ March Madness Menu

March Madness has always been Buffalo Wild Wings’ Super Bowl after the Super Bowl. It makes sense that the chain is once again expanding its menu just in time for nonstop brackets, buzzer beaters, and group orders that spiral out of control.

This year’s additions lean into two familiar comfort-heavy collaborators—King’s Hawaiian and Dunkin’—while also giving B-Dubs the chance to refresh some of its most talked-about sauces and sandwiches. I tried the newest menu items—here’s what you need to know before you order.

At the center of the new lineup are the King’s Hawaiian Cheeseburger Sliders, and honestly, these are doing a lot of the heavy lifting. The sweet, pillowy rolls are exactly what you want during a long game: soft, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to eat. The hand-smashed beef patties are stacked with melty cheese, ranch, and Golden Fire sauce, which brings a mild heat and tang that plays nicely with the sweetness of the bun.

My one note? The rolls slightly overpower the meat. A thicker patty would help the slider feel more balanced. Right now, it’s giving strong White Castle energy (which isn’t a bad thing, just a specific thing). These are available solo or as part of the Ultimate Sampler, and they absolutely make sense as a shareable centerpiece.

On the sauce front, Buffalo Wild Wings is clearly trying to fine-tune the flavors fans already care deeply about. The new Sweet Chili Crisp Sauce is solidly sweet, lightly spicy, and familiar if you’ve tried similar sauces at other quick-service chicken spots. It’s reliable and crowd-pleasing, though not wildly different from what’s already out there.

The revamped Lemon Pepper Sauce is where opinions may split. It’s much more pepper-forward than lemon-forward, delivering a sharp, punchy flavor that pepper lovers will appreciate. If you’re someone who prefers a brighter citrus note—think Wingstop’s lemon pepper—this might feel a little heavy. That said, it’s bold, intentional, and clearly aimed at fans who want that extra kick.

The Lemon Pepper Hot Sauce Mashup, which combines Original Buffalo Sauce with Lemon Pepper dry rub, didn’t quite hit for me. The dry rub paired with Buffalo sauce works conceptually, but in practice, the sauce feels a bit too heavy and mutes what makes lemon pepper shine in the first place.

The Kickin’ Chicken Sandwich, however, is a standout. Seasoned with Chipotle BBQ dry rub and layered with Pepper Jack cheese, chile-lime slaw, pickled hot peppers, and bacon aioli, it has a lot going on, but somehow stays balanced. The heat from the peppers, smokiness from the BBQ seasoning, and brightness from the slaw all come together without overwhelming the chicken itself. It’s busy, yes, but thoughtfully so.

Finally, there’s the Boozy Dunkin’ Cold Brew, a collaboration that blends Dunkin’s cold brew with Jameson, Kahlúa, Baileys, vanilla, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles. We weren’t able to try this just yet due to alcohol restrictions, but it’s on the list, trust me.

Overall, this March Madness expansion feels intentionally built for sharing, sampling, and arguing over favorites, which is exactly how Buffalo Wild Wings should show up during tournament season.
