Shucking Good Hospitality, the local restaurant group led by Founder and President Sean Huggard, has signed a lease to bring The Coastal Service, a new East Coast-inspired seafood and oyster bar, to On The Square in the Denver Tech Center on Belleview Avenue and Ulster Street. The restaurant is slated to open in early 2027 and will become the newest concept in the group’s growing portfolio.

The Coastal Service is a sibling concept to Shucking Good Hospitality’s flagship oyster bar, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood, sharing the same East Coast roots. Where Blue Island is built around the group’s own oyster farm on Long Island’s Great South Bay, The Coastal Service draws its inspiration from Huggard’s years working as a chef on Nantucket.
The concept took shape after Huggard identified a gap for an oyster bar in the Denver Tech Center. The Coastal Service will offer a raw bar, fresh seafood, seasonal coastal dishes, premium steaks, and an extensive wine, martini, and cocktail program. The name nods to the Postal Service, swapping mail for fresh seafood and oysters delivered with the same reliability.
The Coastal Service joins Shucking Good Hospitality’s thriving Italian concept, Oliver’s Italian, in nearby Greenwood Village, expanding Huggard’s presence in the Denver Tech Center while continuing to bring the traditions, hospitality, and energy of East Coast dining to Denver.
“This is the restaurant I’ve always hoped I’d get to build,” said Huggard. ”DTC didn’t have an oyster bar, and this gave me the chance to create one shaped by my years as a chef on Nantucket rather than by the farm in New York. The two restaurants are siblings: same East Coast roots, same standards, different experiences.”
On The Square
Formerly Marina Square, On The Square, by developer Shea Properties, will bring approximately 40,000 square feet of retail and dining, creating an easy, walkable mix of experiences, reestablishing the popular DTC corner at Belleview and Ulster as a destination for what comes next: a place to meet, unwind, and enjoy time well spent.
