Khang Starr sure knows how to make pretty peppers.
The fruit and the plants are both absolutely gorgeous, about hab heat which is what I wanted, but I haven't been able to pick up much flavor. Friend ate one straight in his eggs and said the flavor was very light. I think I remember someone on here saying that's standard for this cultivar but it was too late to grow new seeds by then. On the plus side, the Tangerine Tigers I posted the other day are very flavorful and are kind of taking the place of what I was gonna use these KSPS for. So far I have put the KSPS in a smokey dip and a mango hot sauce, but my dehydrator's arriving soon and I was saving some pods to turn into flakes. I have 6 loaded plants and only 8 pods have ripened so far.
I can't get over how pretty these pods are though. I can't stop touching them, theyre so gorgeous and textured, I just walk around the kitchen holding them. Its like a potentially hazardous fidget toy. Some didn't grow a stinger and look like little floral designs. Maybe KSPS is more of an ornamental but man does it do its job well. I am going to grow it's cousin KSLS Lemon Starrburst next year. But only 2 plants so I have more room for other varieties!
