Police need help identifying Mayfair Mall attempted armed robbery suspect
Wauwatosa police are asking for help identifying a suspect who allegedly pointed a gun at a victim and demanded their cell phone at Mayfair Mall.
The Wauwatosa Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at Mayfair Mall.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, near the food court at Mayfair Mall. During the incident, police said the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded the victim’s cell phone.

Wauwatosa Police describe the attempted armed robbery suspect as a Black male, 16-18 years old, 5’10” and 150 lbs., with an afro hairstyle.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 16 to 18 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, with an afro hairstyle. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black-and-white long-sleeve shirt, black shorts with white writing on the legs, and black-and-white athletic shoes. He was also carrying a black backpack with a shark-teeth design on the front. The photo provided by police shows the suspect in this outfit wearing the backpack on the front of his chest.
