The La Crosse Farmers Market is moving to a new location this winter: Valley View Mall.

The market and mall made the announcement on Friday morning.

It will local farmers, vendors, handmade goods, and products.

“We are elated to bring the La Crosse Winter Farmers Market to Valley View Mall,” said Sadee Linero, market manager for the La Crosse Farmers Market Association. “By coming together, we can give the community a nostalgic way to strengthen the local food system while putting Driftless area producers, procurers, and small businesses at the forefront. Visitors will enjoy the intersection of many regional talents, a cozy and welcoming setting, and the tastes and triumphs of the Coulee Region.”

Management at the mall sees the market as a good fit and a way to support the local community.

“November has always been a time for gathering, which makes it such a natural time to welcome the La Crosse Farmers Market to Valley View Mall,” said Kari Perez, general manager. “It’s something the community already knows and enjoys, and we’re happy to give people another place to come together, support local vendors and enjoy that sense of connection.”

Plans call for the market to reside in the center court of the mall every other Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dates listed on the La Crosse Farmers Market Association Facebook page are November 14 and 28, December 12 and 26, January 9 and 23, February 6 and 20, March 6 and 20, and April 3 and 17.

Last year, the winter market was in the La Crosse Center.
