COINTREAU AND SUNSEEKR LAUNCH REAL-TIME MAP OF LONDON’S SUNNIEST SPICY MARGARITA SPOTS!

Londoners can chase the sunshine this September as Cointreau teams up with viral discovery app SunSeekr to reveal the capital’s best sun-soaked spots for a Spicy Margarita.

Summer might officially be winding down, but Londoners aren’t quite ready to give up their outdoor drinking spots just yet. Now, Cointreau is teaming up with viral discovery app SunSeekr to help cocktail lovers find the city’s sunniest bars and terraces in real time.

The collaboration has launched a new Cointreau Spicy Margarita Map, using live sunshine data to point Londoners towards venues where they can enjoy a Spicy Margarita while making the most of the capital’s remaining late-summer rays.

The interactive guide is available throughout September, with the map updating as the sun moves across London.

Find London’s Sunniest Spicy Margarita Spots

Rather than relying on guesswork when choosing where to meet friends, SunSeekr’s live sunshine-mapping technology allows users to see where sunlight is hitting the capital in real time.

Among the participating venues are Trailer Happiness on Portobello Road and Azteca Battersea on Battersea Rise, giving cocktail fans plenty of excuses to seek out a sunny terrace.

Visitors can also show the SunSeekr app at participating venues to claim a complimentary Cointreau Spicy treat* until 30 September.

The campaign is designed around Cointreau’s latest launch, Cointreau Spicy, a chilli-infused take on the iconic orange liqueur that brings a subtle hit of natural heat to classic cocktails.

Cointreau Spicy Brings Heat to the Margarita

Launched in the UK in July, Cointreau Spicy is the brand’s first chilli-infused expression.

While it introduces a new layer of heat, the spirit remains rooted in Cointreau’s traditional orange liqueur expertise, with the recipe drawing on more than 175 years of craftsmanship.

The result is designed to make spicy cocktails easier to recreate, without needing to experiment with fresh chillies or worry about finding the right balance of heat.

And while the Spicy Margarita is naturally the star of the campaign, Cointreau Spicy can also be used in serves including a Spicy Highball, Spicy Mango Margarita and chilli-twist Paloma.

For something even simpler, it can be enjoyed as a shot with lime and salt.

The Margarita Is Still Having a Moment

Cointreau’s campaign arrives as the Margarita continues to dominate cocktail culture.

According to research shared by the brand, the Margarita is the favourite cocktail among Millennials and the second most popular choice among Gen Z. It is also reportedly the second most ordered cocktail in the global on-trade.

Interest in spicy serves is growing too, with UK Google searches for “simple spicy margarita recipe” increasing by more than 350%.

That growing appetite for heat makes Cointreau Spicy a timely addition for anyone looking to put a fiery twist on their favourite cocktail.

Make a Spicy Margarita at Home

The SunSeekr map doesn’t just point users towards bars.

It also highlights selected Sainsbury’s locations, where shoppers can pick up a bottle of Cointreau Spicy and recreate the serve at home.

That makes it particularly suited to late-summer gatherings, whether you’re hosting friends in the garden, heading to the park for a picnic or simply making cocktails at home while the weather holds.

The brand says Cointreau Spicy has been designed to make getting the right balance of citrus and chilli easier, with no fresh chillies or complicated preparation required.

How to Find the Cointreau Spicy Margarita Map

The Cointreau Spicy Margarita Map launches on 3 September and runs until 30 September, giving Londoners the chance to track down sunny spots across the capital throughout the month.
