PITTSFIELD–The America’s Best Restaurant Roadshow will be making a stop at Gianni’s Pizza, 102 West Washington Street, on Wednesday, September 16.
The public is invited to stop by and be part of the excitement.
“We are grateful for the opportunity,” owner Gianni Vitale said in the announcement inviting the public to attend, when the crew stops by between 4 and 5 p.m.
Those who leave a comment on the restaurant’s Facebook are eligible to win one of two $25 gift cards they’re giving away when the recording crew arrives.
America’s Best Restaurants travels the country spotlighting independent, locally-owned restaurants that make a positive impact on their communities.
Of course, owner Gianni Vitale will be talking food, and their signature Stuffed Pizza and Chicken Alfredo.
The Stuffed Pizza is unique, featuring cheese and toppings sealed between two layers of homemade dough, topped with a special pizza sauce, creating a pie-like style.
The Chicken Alfredo is made from a cherished family recipe that has been passed down through generations.
The feature is also expected to highlight the restaurant’s special place in the community, as the go-to business, supporting various causes and fundraisers for local schools and the community.
No exact air date just yet for the completed story that will be featured extensively on social media platforms.
Gianni’s father’s original restaurant in Beardstown opened back in 1970. The family moved to Italy in 1990, where Gianni completed his education and military service.
In 2000, he and his brother took over the family restaurant in Beardstown. After years of running the business, Gianni decided to expand and opened Gianni’s Pizza in Pittsfield in 2013.
