COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — A longtime Collierville restaurant is preparing to close its doors after a decade in the community.
Frida’s Mexican Restaurant announced Sunday that its Collierville location will permanently close later this month.
The restaurant’s final day of business will be Sunday, Sept. 20, with doors closing at 9 p.m.
“After 10 amazing years, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of our Frida’s Collierville location,” the restaurant said in a social media post.
The Gonzalez family and Frida’s team thanked customers for a decade of support and memories.
“Thank you, Collierville, for 10 years of love, support, memories, and allowing our family to be part of this amazing community,” the post read. “We hope to see you one more time before we close our doors.”
While the Collierville restaurant is closing, Frida’s location at 1718 Madison Avenue in Memphis will remain open.
The restaurant did not give a reason for the Collierville closure in its announcement.
Frida’s ended its message to customers with a Bible verse from Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
The Collierville location will serve customers through 9 p.m. Sept. 20.
