A buddy gave me these. Theyāre plenty hot. When he description as being round and having hundreds on a plant, I assumed Chiltepin. Clearly not.
These are dried. LAny ideas?
Pretty sure these *are* chiltepin and they might just be spicer than the average chiltepin. It happens.
Everything else similar that I know of would be *slightly* more elongated. These are really stubby and round.

Chiltepins can get pretty darned hot. Their scale is 50K-100K Scoville, which is about the same as a Thai chili pepper. I eat superhots (I have some fresh Trinidad scoprions in my pantry right now), but I consider that Scoville range pretty zippy.

Il y a beaucoup de piments ronds qui se ressemblent.. Ƨa peut ĆŖtre wiri wiri, grelot cascabel ( mexicain yabla version piquante autour de 30-50k shu et la version peu piquante autour de 5k shu) , Ƨa peut-ĆŖtre aussi cherry bomb, Ciliegia Piccante ( pas piquant en version italienne) , baiser de Satan, et sĆ»rement plein que j’oublie.
Pour les piments thaĆÆ de ton ami Ƨa peut ĆŖtre chile Arbol qui est mexicain, avec un goĆ»t un peu cassis sĆ©chĆ© et qui tourne autour de 40k shu donc moins fort que les thaĆÆ š
