A Fayetteville restaurant was featured in a national article from USA TODAY. Pan, a sandwich shop in downtown Fayetteville, was among 26 recommendations for where to find the best sandwiches in the U.S.
The Leclair, featuring chicken, fresh mozzarella, two kinds of pesto, mixed greens and a balsamic vinaigrette, all made to order on ciabatta, is the first sandwich listed on its panini menu. It’s also the first thing that employees at this award-winning shop will recommend to new customers.
“It’s tough out here for independent restaurants these days, and to be able to do things with intention and purpose while being recognized in this way for our efforts is incredible,” said Brian Graybill, the owner of Pan.
Graybill also owns Market Square Pantry in downtown Fayetteville and Napkins Restaurant in Hope Mills.
USA TODAY’s list includes sandwiches from two other North Carolina restaurants: The OG Breakfast Sammie at ButterPunk in Asheville and The Rachel at Mibby’s Deli in Wilmington.
